Betty Lanford

Betty Lou Lanford, 85, of Liberal, passed away on April 15, 2026 at the Liberal, KS.

She was born on May 24, 1940 to William and Gracie (Edwards) Keen at Afton, TX.

On September 16, 1966 she married Richard Lanford at Plainview, TX.; he preceded her in death on March 3, 2020.

Betty was caring, generous, a fashionable woman, and an excellent cook. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed talking about the Bible's hope for all mankind.

Betty is survived by one son, Rick Lanford and wife Anna of Plains, KS; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Donna McCoy, and Granddaughter, Kimberly Lanford, Grandsons, Jeremy Lanford, Justin Bowman, and Michael McCoy.

Per Betty's wishes, there will be no public viewing and cremation has taken place.

A memorial service may be announced at a later date.
