C. C. Elliott

Forgan, OK ˜ C. C. Elliott, 100, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Corn Heritage Village of Weatherford, Weatherford, OK. ˜ He was born January 5, 1912 at Granite, OK, the son of George W. & Lottie B. Schaffenburg. ˜ C. C. was a life long farmer and rancher in the Forgan community. He also ran the Commercial Hotel and Commercial Cafe in the 30's and 50's. ˜ He married Ruth E. Leggett, she preceded him in death. ˜˜ C. C. is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Oyler, Custer City, OK; one sister, Dovie Eldine Barnes, Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and nineteen˜ great-great- grandchildren. ˜˜ Memorial graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Forgan Cemetery. ˜˜ Miller Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. ˜˜ In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Corn Heritage Village of Weatherford, 801 N Washington, Weatherford, OK, 73096.
