Carla Jean Curtis, 66, of Liberal, passed away on Sunday March 24, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center.
She was born on December 16, 1957 to Howard and Dorothy (Sarchet) King at Scott City, KS.
On May 2, 1987 she married David Curtis, he preceded her in death on September 19, 2020.
Carla was a graduate of Scott City High School; class of 1976. Carla worked as a bookkeeper for Pizza Hut. She and Dave later owned and operated KD Liquor in Liberal. During the annual Ozfest events in Liberal she would play Glinda the Good Witch.
She enjoyed sewing, outdoors, boating, skiing, camping and growing her vegetable garden.
Carla is survived by her parents of Scott City, KS, Two Sisters, Karen Andrews of Lawton, OK, Carmen Veal of Gage, OK; Four Brothers, Jim King of Scott City, KS, Ken King of Redmond, OR, Ron King of Canehill, AR, Jeff King of Lake Jackson, TX; Daughter, Amanda Blackburn and two grandchildren of CO.
There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place. A private family urn burial will take place at a later date.
