CORA JEAN GROVES

Cora J. Groves, 83, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS. She was born May 24, 1929 at Liberal, KS, the daughter of Harry C. and Annie E. Lowe Lockas. Cora graduated from Liberal High School.˜ She worked at Southwest Daily Times and Williams Shoe Store. She married Merle R. Groves August 28, 1949 at Perryton, TX.˜ He died October 27, 1999. She is survived by a son Steve Groves and wife Karia, Liberal, KS; two brothers Bobby Lockas and wife Carol, Liberal, KS; Richard Lockas, Liberal, KS; two grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.˜ She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two infant sons. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Miller Chapel.˜ Interment will be in Liberal Cemetery. Friends may call at Miller Mortuary, 10:00 A.M. - 7 P.M. Friday.
