Dale E. Hasty

Liberal KS ˜ Dale E. Hasty, 81, Liberal, KS, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS. ˜ He was born June 17, 1929 at Earlton, KS, the son of William L. & Birdie M. Dewey Hasty. ˜ He married Dorothy M. Johnson on July 12, 1950 at Eureka Springs, AR. ˜He came to Liberal in 1957 and worked for˜ Johnny Fetsch Motors for several years, then he opened his own business, Hasty Motor Service 1969-1991.˜ He currently owned and operated Night Owl Security with his son Leslie.˜ For many years Dale was active in Boys Scouts and was troop leader for Troop #181, this is something that he truly enjoyed with his sons. ˜He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Liberal, KS. ˜Dale is survived by his wife Dorothy of sixty years; two sons, Lloyd Hasty and wife Cheryl, Sand Springs, OK; Leslie Hasty, Liberal, KS; two daughters, Linda Myers and husband Don, Liberal, KS; Dorothy "Dot" Horn and husband Dan, Galva, KS; six grandchildren, Matthew Hasty and wife Jenn, Marshall, MN; Nick Hasty, Woodward, OK; Kendall Hasty, Claremore, OK; Chad Hasty, Liberal, KS;˜ Ashley Hasty,˜˜˜˜ Benton, KS; Emily Horn and husband Dustin, Great Bend, KS;˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ three great-grand-children, Nevaeh & Lynix Edmunds,˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ Westminister, CO; Kara Horn, Great Bend, KS, sister in law Phyllis Nordt, several nieces and nephews.˜ He was preceded in death by his parents,˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ two brothers, Lloyd & Kenneth Hasty, three sisters, Clorene Berry, Alta Mae Boggs & Ruth Edwards, several nieces and nephews. ˜˜ Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Liberal Cemetery with Rev. Rex Petty presiding. ˜˜ Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 9 A.M.-8 P.M. Friday and 9-11 A.M.
