Delois Terry

Delois Terry, 76, of Liberal, passed away on Wednesday August 16, 2023 at the St. Francis Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, KS.

She was born on January 10, 1947 to Richard and Bettie (Edwards) Witherspoon at Pickens, AR.

On May 23, 1965 she married Maurice Terry in Pickens, AR.

Delois' life passion was her family and church; she fed the hungry and took care of those that were ill. She was a long time member of Bibleway Church of God in Christ where she served in many positions including missionary, leading the youth group,and singing in the choir among many other duties. Delois was well loved amongst her family and throughout the community.

Delois is survived by her loving husband of  58 years Maurice; Six Children- Betty Mae Collier of McCleansville, NC, Sedrick Orlando Terry of Winchester, VA, Garrie Michelle Robinson of Covington, GA, Douglas Maurice Terry of New Bedford, MA, Katina Lynn Terry of Wichita, KS, and Marcus Lamon Terry of Liberal, KS. Three Brothers- James Witherspoon of Liberal, KS, Micheal Witherspoon of Midlothian, TX, and Fred Witherspoon of Arlington, TX; Two Sisters, Gloria Bailem of Mobile, AL and Bernestine Britt of Kansas City, MO; 16 Grandchildren & Six Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stepmother, Mary Olar Witherspoon, Two Sisters, and Six Brothers.

Viewing will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, 10:00 am at the Bibleway Church of God In Christ, with Pastor Steven Bailem, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Liberal City Cemetery.
