Doyle Ray Davis, 68, of Liberal, passed away on Thursday January 1, 2026 at his home in Liberal, KS.
He was born on August 31, 1957 to Glenda Sue Hunter and Colton Ray Davis at Brownwood Memorial Hospital in Brownwood, TX
On May 4, 2016 he married Helen Giles at the Pauls Valley, OK.
Doyle was a graduate of Brownwood High School. He went on to enlist into the US Army where he served for eight years, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. While serving in the Army, he distinguished himself as a navigator of the Army's Hovercraft Water Vessels. As a civilian he later taught Senior Navy personnel in the operation of Hovercraft Vessels. Doyle had lived in Florida for many years where he enjoyed ocean fishing, hunting, and scuba diving. He enjoyed watching western movies and reading books. Doyle really loved his family; being with his wife, kids, and grand-kids brought great happiness to his life.
Doyle is survived by his wife Helen Davis of Liberal, Stepdaughter, Ann Martire of Kismet, KS; Mother, Glenda Taylor of Kileen, TX, Sister, Suzy A Persechino of Killeen, TX; five step grandchildren, Scott Bond of Hutchinson, KS, Elden Bond of Kansas City, MO, Nick Bond of Liberal, KS, Izzy Martire, and Ryan Martire of Kismet, KS.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Colton Davis.
Per Doyle's request, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life Service may be announced at a later date.
