Liberal KS ˜ Edythe G Poteet, 83, Liberal, KS, died Friday, January 21, 2011, Wheatridge Park Care Center, Liberal, KS. ˜˜ She was born April 30, 1927 in Seward County, KS, the daughter of Ira G. & Edythe M. Stricklin Ives. ˜ She attended school in Liberal and was an officer at the South Port of Entry for twenty-two years retiring in 1987. ˜˜ She attended the First Church of the Nazarene, Liberal, KS. ˜ In 1968 she married James "Sonny" Poteet in Moscow, KS, he survives. ˜ She is also survived by two sons, George Marriotti, Council Bluffs, IA;˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ Tony Marriotti and wife Charlotte, Montgomery, TX; one daughter, Genny Lou Gregg and husband Eldon Keith, Dallas, TX; one step-son, James R. Poteet, III and wife Gay, Kansas City, KS; one sister, Imogene Smith, Liberal, KS;˜ nine grandchildren, one step-grandson, eleven great-grandchildre.˜ She was preceded in death˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ by her parents, two brothers and five sisters. ˜˜ Funeral services will be conducted˜˜ 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Miller Chapel with Mike Owens presiding. ˜˜ Interment will be in the Moscow Cemetery, Moscow, KS. ˜ Feinds may call at the Miller Mortuary˜ 5-8 P.M.
