Marie Grant

Ethel Marie Grant, 86, of Liberal, passed away on Monday December 25, 2023 at Wheatridge Care Park.  
  
She was born on March 12, 1937 to Emsily Milton and Mary (Anderson) Buck at Liberal, KS. 

In 1959 she married Donald Grant: he preceded her in death.

She attended school at Liberal High School and celebrated with the class of 1955. Marie worked as a Office Manager for Dr. Cauble for 25 plus years before retiring in the early 2000's. She was a former member of the Chamber of Commerce, Toastmaster's Club, participated on the Vo-Tech Board, former Leader of Santa Fe Council of Cub Scouts. Marie enjoyed crafting, watching old movies, football, baseball, reading, and being a "Den Mother" for the youth group. She loved visiting with people and sharing her many stories of her family. Marie was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church since 1970 where she loved to celebrate the Lord. 
  
Marie is survived by her four sons, Ronald Graves and wife Pam of Powell, WY, David L Graves and wife Janet of Marlow, OK, Richard W Grant and wife Jacki of Duncan, OK, Robert M Grant and wife Virginia of Liberal, KS; brother, Kenneth D Buck and wife Kay of Andover, KS; sister, Delcia Allison and husband Max of Winfield, KS; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. 
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Son, Randall L Grant, Two Brothers, Russell Buck and Marvin Buck, Sister, Patty Dondlinger.
  
Viewing will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday December 28, 2023 at Miller Mortuary.
     
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, 2:00 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church, with Pastor Bill Prater, officiating.
  
Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
