Jerry Steadman

Jerry Don Steadman, 73, of Liberal, passed away on Friday March 13, 2026 at the Liberal Good Samaritan Center.

He was born on November 23, 1952 to Richard and Betty (Chance) Steadman at St. John, KS.

Jerry married Eve Lorraine Mata in LaJunta, CO; she preceded him in death on April 16, 2022.

Jerry had worked many years as an Electrician. Years back he had worked for the LuJunta Cemetery in Lajunta, Co and at National Beef Packing Co. here in Liberal. 

Jerry is survived by Two Sons, Shawn Stahle of Yukon, OK, Jerod Steadman of Liberal, KS; Daughter, Trisha Potter of Anna, TX; Brother, Gary Steadman of Colwich, KS; Eight Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. 

He was also preceded in death by his Parents, Two Brothers, Terry Steadman and Larry Steadman; One Sister, Denise Hood.

There will be no viewing or services.

A private urn burial will take place at Liberal City Cemetery.
