JOHN D PETERS

John Dale Peters, 80, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal, KS. He was born August 3, 1933 in Beaver County, OK, to Marion and Mildred Dale Peters. John graduated Turpin High School, class of 1952 and attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. He then returned to the family farm where he was a good steward of the land until his health began to fail, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Liberal. He married Inabelle Jenkins March 11, 1959 at Ponca City, OK. To this union three children were born. He is survived by his wife, Inabelle, of Liberal, KS, daughter, Valerie Peters of Oklahoma City, OK, sons, Brad Peters and wife Susan of Turpin, OK, Chris Peters of Liberal, KS, brother, Robert Peters of Oklahoma City, OK, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ann Pattin. Visitation will be Monday, December 30, 2013 from 12:00 Noon - 8:00 pm at Miller Mortuary. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Miller Mortuary Chapel with Stan Lehnert officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the First Presbyterian Church - 1551 N.
