Jonnie Slatten

Jonnie L. Slatten, 75, of Tyrone, OK passed away on Friday February 6, 2026 at Wheatridge Care Park Nursing Home in Liberal, KS.

She was born on December 27, 1950 to Lloyd and Goldie (Rasler) Smith at Hugoton, KS.

On March 7, 1970 she married Herman Slatten at the Tyrone Methodist Church in Tyrone, OK. He Survives.

Jonnie was a graduate of Liberal High School; class of 1969. She had worked for many years as a waitress and also in auto parts sales in Lamar, CO and the Liberal, KS area. She was a "spitfire" and full of energy; the glue that bound her family together. Jonnie loved her family and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had been attending services at the Tyrone Baptist Church.

Jonnie is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Herman Slatten of Tyrone, OK; Three Daughters, Angela (Bryan) Remling of Ardmore, OK, Jennifer Slatten of Tyrone, OK, and Crystal (Terry) Journagan of Hooker, OK; Sister, Joyce Tedrow of Tyrone, OK; Eight Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Son, Mark Addison; and Sister, Sandra Felkins.

There will be no public viewing; cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service celebrating Jonnie's life may be announced at a later date.
