Larry E. Witzke

Liberal, KS˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ ˜ Larry E. Witzke, 60, Liberal, KS, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS. ˜ He was born August 16, 1950 in Liberal, KS. ˜˜ He graduated Liberal High School in 1966 and attended Kansas University.˜ He entered the US Army and served in Viet Nam as a paratrooper.˜ Upon returning to Liberal he worked in the oilfield several years and later drove truck for Groendyke Transport twenty years. ˜˜ Larry was a member of the NRA, and loved to fish, hunt˜ and working with wood. ˜˜ He married Deborah J. Carroll on October 6, 2007 in Liberal, KS, she survives. ˜ In addition to his wife Deborah, he is survived by one daughter, Lacei Frechette, Dallas, TX; his mother, Ruth Witzke, Olathe, KS; two brothers, Rodney Witzke & Jimmy Witzke, Olathe, KS; two sisters, Sharen Phomnyvongh, Amarillo, TX; Linda Kowing, Dumas, TX;˜ two grandsons Jason & Nathan; an aunt Fern Oyler, Liberal, KS; two special cousins Eddie & Clinton Oyler, Liberal, KS. ˜˜ Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday at Miller Chapel. ˜˜ Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery with military honors. ˜˜ Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 1-8 P.M.
