MARY L. REYNOLDS

Mary Louise (Yates) Reynolds, age 86 died Saturday October 06, 2012 in Spearman, TX. Mary was born on February 17, 1926 in Severy, Kansas to Seba and Maude (DeWitt) Yates.˜ She was the second oldest of five children.˜ She grew up in the tough times of the great depression and learned the value of hard work. She married Ralph M. Reynolds on September 10, 1946. Mary and Ralph moved to Liberal, Kansas in 1952.˜ She made Liberal her and her families? home for the next 60 years.˜ Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1999. Mary and Ralph raised two children.˜ A daughter, Rhonda (Reynolds) Covington of Spearman, Texas married to Curtis Covington, and a son, Rodney R. Reynolds of Wichita, Kansas married to Giana (Gummow) Reynolds.˜ She has 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mary was always an active person, participating in many high school sports, such as basketball and tennis, and later on running in the Pancake Day race shortly after coming to Liberal.˜ She enjoyed playing golf with her family and friends. She was also an astute business person who worked hand-in-hand with her husband Ralph in operating several successful businesses, including PAR Petroleum of Liberal, Kansas. Mary?s fine examples of how to live life and show her love will be missed by all who knew her, especially her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.˜ We will love you forever and ever Mom, Mother-in-law, Grandma, and Great-Grandma! Visitation will be Monday October 8th from 1-8pm at Miller Mortuary in Liberal with the family present from 6-8pm Funeral Services will be 1:00pm Tuesday October 09, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Liberal followed proceeded with burial at the Liberal City Cemetery.
