Neil Brewer, 71, of Liberal, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at his home.

He was born on February 7, 1952, to John and Serena (Durham) Brewer in Alva, OK.

Neil married Miriam Kruse in April 1972; they later divorced. He married Connie Terry on February 19, 1988, in Las Vegas, NV; she survives.

Neil was a longtime mechanic and service manager, owning an automotive repair business in Liberal for several years. He also worked with the Seward County Sheriff's Office and as Transportation Director for USD 480. Neil was a pilot and loved racing Odysseys & snowmobiles. He was the Odyssey grand national champion two years in a row. One of his favorite past times included being outdoors. He loved to go camping, fishing, and boating with his family. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports for the Liberal Redskins and travel teams as well as attending dance recitals as a dad and grandpa for 46 years.

Neil is also survived by his children Shawna Evans and husband Brent of Liberal, KS, Kyle Brewer and wife Holly of Tulsa, OK, DeeDee Luebbers and husband Danny of Liberal, KS, and Smitty McIntire of Liberal, KS; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister Maxine Clepper of Garden City, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Chad McIntire, four brothers Harold Haight, Kenneth Brewer, Darell Brewer, and Chester Brewer; three sisters Vona Mae Fyffe, Eula Stansbury, and Serena Kay Brewer.

There will be no public viewing, per Neil's request.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Liberal Cemetery, Liberal, Kansas, with Pastor Rex Petty officiating.

The family suggests memorials to Seward County EMS in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
