Norman L. Green, departed from this world on Sunday March 1, 2026, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas. Born on September 12, 1955, in Algona, Washington, Norman's journey was one marked by love and creativity.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Norman dedicated four years of his life serving as a cook, a role that ignited his passion for cooking. He possessed a remarkable talent for transforming ordinary ingredients into delightful recipes.
Beyond the art of cooking, Norman harbored a unique gift for sewing, often crafting Memorial Bears for his friends and family, each bear infused with his warmth and affection. His leisure time was often spent playing games on his phone. In his youth, he and his partner, Michael, embraced the thrill of city life, dancing the night away in lively nightclubs, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories.
Norman will be forever remembered by his devoted partner of 42 years, Michael Owens, who stood by his side. He leaves behind five brothers—Jerry Hurley, Harold Green, Melvin Green, Robert Green, and Marvin Green—and a sister-in-law, Sherri L. Hightower, along with numerous nieces and nephews whose lives he touched with his kindness.
He now joins in eternal rest with his beloved parents, Stanley Eugene Green and Carrie Belle Walker, and his siblings Greg, Charles, Linda, and Lavinia.
In respect of his wishes, there will be no public visitation, as cremation has taken place.
As we reflect on Norman’s life, let us celebrate the joy he brought to each of us—a life woven with love, laughter, and creativity that will forever echo in our hearts.
