RICHARD (HARDROCK) DAVIS

Richard (Hardrock) Davis, 79 of Liberal died Monday, September 23, 2013 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center. He was born June 19, 1934 at Newton, KS, the son of Clarence and Irene (Heilman) Davis. He married Bonnie Hubbard June 9, 1952 at Potwin, KS. She preceded him in death. Richard was a graduate of Potwin High School. He was a Superintendent for Jayhawk Pipeline for 20+ years before retiring in 1996. Richard enjoyed coaching baseball and was a Coach for the Legion Elks Team and the Little League in Elkhart, KS. He was a member of Liberal Elks Lodge. His survivors include Son - Charles Davis and wife Donetta of Liberal, KS; Daughter - Ann Davis of Houston, TX; Brother - Charles Conrad Davis of Jay, OK; 2 Granddaughters - Nikki Whitaker of Liberal, KS and Erica Davis of Denver, CO. 5 Great Grandsons. Visitation will be 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on Saturday September 28th at Miller Mortuary. Funeral Ceremony will be at 1:30 pm Sunday September 29th at Miller Mortuary Chapel.
