Vernie M. O'Moore

Vernie Marie O'Moore, 72, passed away on Saturday October 10, 2026 at her home in Liberal, KS.

She was born on October 29, 1953 to Vernon and Bonnie (Hill) Springmeyer at Guymon, OK.

On November 25, 1995 she married Kevin O'Moore at the Grace Lutheran Church in Liberal.

Vernie graduated from Liberal High School class of 1974. She loved baking and cooking. In addition to baking her husband's favorite chocolate chip cookies. Vernie was also an accomplished Cake Decorator. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for many weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays for her friends and family. Family was always important to her, as was the time she spent with them. She was always happy to tell everyone about her grandsons accomplishments. She was a 35-year member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Liberal.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who loved her. 

Vernie is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Kevin O'Moore, Daughter, Rebecca Springmeyer and husband Zack Blair of Oklahoma City, OK; Two Sisters, Mary Mauldin of Whitney, TX, Joyce O'Moore and husband Brian of Carthage, MO; Grandson, Landon Christopher Blair of Oklahoma City; several Nieces & Nephews She was preceded in death by her Parents, Vernon & Bonnie Springmeyer, Grandparents, Jesse D. & Rachel M. Hill, Sister, Judy Eckland, Niece, Loretta Jo Phillips and Brother in law, James Mauldin.

Viewing will be 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday October 15, 2026 with family present to greet friends from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm at Miller Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Friday October 16, 2026 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Jason Toombs, officiating. 

Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday October 17, 2026 in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery near Preston, KS.
