Victor E Henness

Victor E Henness, 87, of Liberal, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at his home in Liberal, KS.

He was born on March 10, 1938 to Edgar and Hazel (Pirtle) Henness in Liberal, KS. He attended Turpin Elementary and High School and graduated in 1957. On March 10, 1979 he married Lucinda C. Hardin in Turpin, OK.

Victor was self-employed as a farmer and shoe cobbler. He owned and operated Vic's Shoe Shop and the Village Cobbler in Liberal.

He was a kind and loving man who loved to laugh with his family. In his spare time Victor enjoyed watching wrestling and documentaries, and enjoyed the uniqueness of Franklin Lloyd Wright Homes.

Victor is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lucinda C., Daughter, Dena Brown of Oilton, OK; Son, Myron Henness of Cushing, OK; Sister, Janet Lee Fairbanks of Dallas, Tx; Brother, Gary Henness (Carolyn) of Turpin, OK; two brothers in law, Curtis Hardin (Cindy Jo) of Liberal, KS, and Doug Hardin (Kerri) of Turpin, OK. Victor is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Son, Michael Sean Henness, Mother, Hazel Marie Henness, Father, Edgar E. Henness.

There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Miller Mortuary Chapel with Pastors Tyler Prater and Tanner Walton officiating.
