Bert Allen "Stubby" Cook, age 61, formerly of Liberal, Kansas, died on Monday, February 20, 2023, at his home in Coffeyville, Kansas. He was surrounded by his loving wife Tanya Cook and his 4 fur babies.

He was born on December 8, 1961, in Salina, Kansas. He was raised at a young age by his grandparents. He joined the Army and served his country. He was very proud of being a veteran. He loved driving semis, working on cars and doing construction work, electric and plumbing.  If he wasn’t working you would find him at the local VFW Post #3166 giving the girls a hard time.  He loved being with his friends and joking with them.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Tanya Cook; three sons, Bert Jr. and Caitlyn Cook of Meade, Kansas, Justin Cook of Liberal, Kansas, Mike Cook of Turpin, Oklahoma; two daughters, Mary and Brian Boyles of Nebraska, Kimberly and Josh Jones of North Carolina; three bonus kids, Chyanne (Keaton) Roberts of Lubbock, Texas, Jerry Carter (Trudy) of Dodge City, Kansas, Robert Carter (Jenna) of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Susan Stubby and Cece Kern of Amarillo, Texas and twenty three grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Helen Stubby, his grandparents, his son, Bobby Cook, one grandson, and brother Alan Stubby.
