Jacqueline "Jacque" Denise Rice, 63, of Liberal, passed away on Friday September 9, 2022 at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX.

She was born on December 6, 1958 to CB and Bonnie (Marshall) Cummins at Shattuck, OK.

She married Guy Roy Rice on July 23, 1977 at Liberal, KS; he preceded her in death in 2016.

Jacque was a graduate of Southwestern Heights High School; class of 1977. Guy and Jacque owned numerous business' in Liberal throughout the years including the Packaging Store and Jacque's Pets. She also worked at the Hitching Post Saloon for many years working the door and keeping folks in line. Jacque enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in all their adventures and activities. She was
fiercely protective over her family and loved to be a part of any conversation.


She is also survived by one son- Tyson Rice and wife Mandy of Liberal, KS; one daughter- Denasa Rice and partner Tyson Luna of Liberal, KS; sister - Marjorie Gaddis and husband Scott of Fairplay, MO; brother- Kenneth Cummins and wife Emily of London, AR; two grandsons- Hudson Roy Rice, Caylon Boman Rice; five nieces- Lisa Landry, Ashten Beal,  Kiffany Hogan, Tyonna Ferder, Brittney Cummins; two nephews- Todd Hogan, Michael Cummins. Several great nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter- Channing Jade Rice

Per Jacque's wishes of not having a Funeral Service, a Meet & Greet of friends and family will be 2:00pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 18th at Believer's Ministry Church located at 1071 S. Clay Ave in Liberal.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Liberal Fire Dept. Firefighter Fund in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826
