Wanda Jane Roa, 87, of Liberal, passed away on Friday November 18, 2022 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

She was born on March 17, 1935 to Carmel and Mary Jane (Nye) Whitaker at Tuttle, OK.

Wanda married Justin Roa on January 17, 1953; he preceded her in death on October 22, 2020.

Wanda was a big people watcher, people fascinated her. She sewed anything from clothes for her kids, to all kinds of Barbie clothes, wedding dresses for friends and the fancy western shirts for Justin and his band. She loved her pets over the years and had many dogs and cats that she doted on like babies. Wanda also loved her family and cared for her mother at home until she passed away. Having only the one brother, Carmen, she loved the very large Roa family she married into even though there were so many it was hard to keep track of everyone.  She developed some very close relationships with many especially sister in laws Betty, Tex and Monie who lived close by in Guymon. She also had a close relationship with her brother's family and his wife Valeria and their children Dale, George, Lucy and John who lived in Tyrone for several years.

Wanda is survived by her daughter Lynda and Don Moeller of Loveland, Colorado, her daughter Debbie and Tony White of Dill City, Oklahoma,  her son Terry Roa and Tressa Allen of Liberal, Kansas. Grandchildren Brit, Shane, Samantha, Justin, Lane, Trinity, Trevor, Travis, Nick and Desaree and their families, grandchildren and two great grandchildren. From her family she is also survived by her niece Lucy and her nephews Dale, John, Aaron and their families.  From her husband's side she is survived by Monie Behne of Guymon, Oklahoma, Robert Roa of Pueblo, Colorado, Barbara Roa of Fountain, Colorado, Joe Roa of Fort Worth, Texas, Wally and Donna Roa of Texarkana,Texas, Sophia Roa of Lubbock, Texas and multiple nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Justin, her mother and father Carmel and Mary Jane Whitaker, her brother Carmen, son Steve and daughter in law Melania and her nephew, George. She was also  preceded in death by many Roa family members who are dearly loved and missed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Liberal Good Samaritan Center for the love, care, and support they provided while Justin and Wanda were under their care.

Per Wanda's wishes the will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.

The family may hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
