Owner/Funeral Director and Embalmer
Born and raised in Liberal, KS Gene moved to Dallas, TX after graduating from Liberal High School to attend Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. Upon graduating from Dallas Institute in 1995 he then served his apprenticeship in McKinney, TX while working with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. and moved back to Liberal, KS in 1997 to work with Tom Kitch at Kitch Funeral Home until Tom sold the business in 2000. Even though Gene was not working in Funeral Service full time between 2000 - 2012 he assisted both local Funeral Establishments on many occasions while maintaining his Director & Embalmer licensure. Gene has also held a duel Kansas and Oklahoma Insurance License since 2000. Due to his extensive Life Insurance knowledge and experience clients will have the peace of mind knowing that their pre-arranged funeral plans are in order and properly overseen.

Kelsey is a lifelong Kansas resident. She was raised in Plains, Kansas and graduated from Southwestern Heights High School in 2001. After graduation she attended the Cosmetology program at Seward County Community College. Upon graduating from Seward County Community College in 2002, she began her career as a Cosmetologist in Liberal, Kansas. She later owned her own salon in Kismet, Kansas.
She enjoys painting, drawing and ceramics. Kelsey
and her husband Zach own and operate Flowers Pottery, a small pottery business
in Plains, Kansas
Kelsey has always had a gift for helping people in the community. She is caring, compassionate, and puts the needs of others above her own, With an outstanding attention to detail, Kelsey is a perfect fit with us here at Miller Mortuary as we serve the families of Liberal and the surrounding area.
Funeral Attendant
Marlin Meisenheimer was born at Epworth Hospital in Liberal, Kansas on December 25, 1951, to Claude and Cleo Meisenheimer.

Richard Lamon was born & raised here in Liberal and has been assisting us here at Miller Mortuary since 2008.
After high school Richard enlisted into the US Navy and served our country in Vietnam. After Vietnam he worked for the Original Frontier Airlines until they dissolved; he then returned back to Liberal. Richard retired from Scantlin’s Furniture.
Richard enjoys being active in Kiwanis, tinkering on small engines, and showing his Hotrod cars in area car shows!
Always ready to assist in any way he can, we are proud to have Richard as part of our team!
Visitation & Viewing Attendant
Rosetta was born in Liberal, KS and was raised in the Oklahoma panhandle.
She graduated from Turpin High School. Several years later she attended the University of North Dakota and received a certification in Dietary.
Rosetta has compassion for others and has worked in the medical field for years. She currently works full time at Turpin Schools and has been there for 6 years.
Rosetta married her husband Raul Serrano 33 years ago; they have two daughters and five grandchildren.
Rosetta and Raul reside in Turpin, OK and began assisting us here at Miller Mortuary in 2018.
